The 1988–89 and 1989–90 Milan kits remain among the most revered in football history because of their perfect balance of simplicity and authority. Sharp red and black striping, elegant proportions and the unmistakable Mediolanum era created a visual identity that still defines how people imagine classic Serie A. Milan would go on to dominate Europe, winning back to back European Cups and cementing their place in football mythology.
This piece strips those visual elements back into a minimal composition inspired by Italian football culture, analogue sportswear design and the atmosphere of late 80s San Siro .
