Inspired by the final Scudetto season of Diego Maradona’s Napoli, the Napoli ’90 design reinterprets one of football’s most mythologised visual identities through clean geometric form.
This was Napoli at the peak of its powers; San Paolo under floodlights, Mars sponsorship across impossibly beautiful Ennerre shirts and a city completely consumed by football. The 1989–90 season would deliver Napoli’s second Serie A title, cementing Maradona’s status not just as a player, but as a near mythical figure in Naples.
The shirt itself became iconic because it captured everything that made late 80s and early 90s calcio feel different. Sharp sky blue tones, minimalist detailing and the legendary Mars sponsor combined to create one of the most recognisable football aesthetics ever produced. More than a kit, it became part of football folklore.
